However, nothing is certain regarding the process, but the NHL commissioner, Gary Bettman, has revealed that the sale of the Senators is in its second stage. “We’re not on the clock, the goal is to get it right. And if it takes a little longer, it takes a little longer,” Bettman said.

“Once we get to the anointed party, then you’ve got to go through the lawyers doing contracts. And we have a league approval process to get through. And there is still two to three months of work to be done,” he added.
