Even after hanging up his boots, Gareth Bale had a keen eye on the soccer world. When Wrexham AFC won their title decider, he posted a video to congratulate the Red Dragons. However, that video has since become the talk of the community. Immediately after that video, Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds got into scheme mode.

The owners of the National League champion club are doing everything they can to lure the real Madrid legend in for a season. Needless to say, the star duo had the resume to back the confidence up. Ever since they acquired the club, they managed to get Phil Parkinson from a couple of tiers above them.

The Wrexham owners also got the legendary goalkeeper Ben Foster out of his retirement and play a crucial role in the promotion. However, the former Wales soccer captain quickly ended the conversation. Regardless of which, a former Wrexham star has advised a slightly different approach for Bale.

Wrexham star’s counter offer to Gareth Bale

In a recent talk, former Wrexham and Wales defender Neil Taylor addressed the same issue. He believes there is a way for his former teammate Bale to get involved with the Red Dragons. He also talked about how positively effective the new owners’ reign had been for the club.

Talking with the Leader, Taylor said, “I think the biggest thing that could probably happen is if he invests in the club or something like that. That might be more realistic in terms of if he’s looking for a business opportunity to be involved in a club and, and something like that in Wales as well, which he’s passionate about.

Meanwhile, Rob McElhenney is determined to persuade the legendary forward to boot up for one season. Calling Bale out in an interview, McElhenney said, “Gareth, okay listen, it’s just me and you talking for a second. I know that Southern California is beautiful and I know, I’m from Philadelphia and I’ve lived here for many, many years… but you’re a young man and you have the rest of your life to live wherever you want!”
