Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher is set to host his upcoming charity gala this Saturday. Carragher founded the Football for Change charity alongside English stars Trent Alexander Arnold, Conor Coady, and Jude Bellingham in 2021. Since its foundation, the gala has become one of the most notable charity events across England. Last year, the event raised over $435,000 during the one-night gala.

According to Liverpool Echo, Argentine superstar Lionel Messi has made a heartwarming gesture towards Liverpool icon Jamie Carragher’s Football For Change charity. Carragher stated he had dropped a message to La Pulga but received a reply in Spanish. “Yes. Is it Spanish that they speak, Argentinians? I’m just going to say the word he called me. I don’t understand a ‘burro’. What does that mean?”

Presenter Kate Abdo quickly helped the scouser by translating the word for him. Carragher had a smile on his face as he replied, “Donkey, thank you.” However, despite the banter, it seems like Messi and Carragher have mutual respect. La Pulga’s actions to support his charity gala will surely put a smile on the Liverpool icon’s face.
