Jude Bellingham has to be on top of the world. The Real Madrid star has had a phenomenal April, with the player reaching new heights with Los Blancos. The Englishman booked his first appearance in the UEFA Champions League semifinals, with Madrid knocking out defending champion Manchester City on penalties. Bellingham followed up his performance with a stoppage-time winner against Barcelona in the El Clasico, consolidating Real Madrid’s grip over the La Liga title. The Real Madrid star then wrapped things up by bagging the coveted Laureus World Sports Breakthrough of the Year award this Sunday. Talk about a phenomenal week!

Bellingham was on cloud nine following the achievement as he took to his Instagram handle to share photos from the star-studded night. The Real Madrid star beat Josh Kerr, Linda Caicedo, Coco Gauff, Salma Paralluelo, and Qin Haiyang to bag the elusive award. Talking about the achievement, Bellingham stated“What an honor to spend the evening with so many of my sporting heroes at such a prestigious event and to collect the World Breakthrough of the Year award. Thank you! 🫶🏽”

His post caught the attention of NFL legend Tom Brady, who congratulated the player on the award, claiming Bellingham deserved to win the trophy. Real Madrid legend Luis Figo also applauded the Englishman’s achievement, congratulating him for the same. Sportswear brand Adidas also had a special message for their exclusive athlete, as they claimed the player keeps winning even in his photo dumps. Jude Bellingham has had a special run with Real Madrid this season, and the potential La Liga and UCL titles could put him in pole position for the 2024 Ballon d’Or.

Jude Bellingham continues to take Spain by storm!

While everyone knew Jude Bellingham was destined for great things, no one expected him to brute force his way into the Erling Haaland vs Kylian Mbappe debate. With fans expecting the two strikers to emerge as the two biggest stars in the current era of football, Jude Bellingham has shown everyone with his performances that this is perhaps the era we all are living in. While some fans might consider it too much praise for the 20-year-old, no one can deny his exploits.

In an age where Florentino Perez is looking to rebuild his Galacticos, Jude Bellingham has become the leading role for the team, rather than Kylian Mbappe, who might have declined the chance a little more than he should have. It will be interesting to see if the player can continue to put on showcase performances one week after another, with Los Blancos fans expecting him to take the team back to the top of European football. I wouldn’t be surprised if he does!
