Neymar suffered a horrific injury blow as Brazil lost 2-0 against Uruguay in the World Cup qualifiers. The fanbase now hopes that the Brazilian soccer icon‘s left knee injury isn’t as bad as it looked. This has turned out to also be a blow to the plans of Al Hilal as they have a busy schedule coming up. However, a report has now claimed that the Saudi club will receive compensation from FIFA with an important clause.

This compensation will only soften the blow as a fit Neymar could have helped them much more. The Brazilian had just recovered from the injury he suffered with PSG last season. Repeated injuries to players also point out the heavy congestion in the global soccer schedule.

Neymar suffered a bad injury against Uruguay and medical staff had to take him off the pitch on a stretcher. The Brazilian also had his head in his hands indicating that he was in some serious discomfort. He was also seen leaving after the game on crutches. However, the Brazilian staff are yet to determine the recovery timeline of the injury. But, amid the injury blow, they are set to receive a huge compensation.

According to reports, Al Hilal could receive a maximum of about $8 million from FIFA as Neymar’s injury happened on international duty.  The clause will however be applicable on one condition, i.e. if it lasts for more than 28 days. From the looks of it, the injury is likely to take quite some time to heal. This will definitely soften some of the blow for the Saudi side. However, not all of it. It is because a fit Neymar could have helped Al Hilal oversee the busy schedule for the remaining month. The Saudi club are going to play 3 games in the next 9 days.
