Disappointing Update For Al Nassr as Saudi Pro League Rivals Al Qadsiah Target Kevin De Bruyne, Per Reports

Saudi giants Al Nassr has assembled a great squad during the recent transfer window. The team has already signed the likes of Marcelo Brozovic and Sadio Mane to complement Cristiano Ronaldo. Meanwhile, the side has been adamant in their pursuit of Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne. Despite being snubbed by the player, the side is keen on acquiring his signatures. The team could face an enormous challenge as Saudi side Al Qadsiah are also reportedly interested in signing the Belgian.

Al Ahli has tried time and again to convince Kevin De Bruyne to move to the Saudi Pro League. However, the Belgian international remains committed to Manchester City and wants to continue playing at the highest level.

Saudi Arabian clubs have not shied away from spending on some of the best players in the world. The Middle Eastern sides have splurged big during the ongoing transfer window to lure players away from Europe. Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr has signed some of the top names this season but does not show signs of stopping anytime soon. And Kevin De Bruyne has been one major target of theirs.

Now it seems Al Nassr has competition with one of their rivals, Al Qadsiah. But despite their massive wealth, Qadsiah plays in the 3rd division of the Saudi Pro League, which might not be an appealing prospect for the Belgian.

An Arabian source reported, “Urgent and special: Al Qadsiah Club targets Belgian player Kevin De Bruyne to sign him next season.”

While Al Nassr has tried their very best to lure the Belgian player away from Manchester City, all their efforts have been unsuccessful. De Bruyne is reportedly happy staying in Manchester and has no plans to leave anytime soon.

Manchester City star not interested in a move to Al Nassr

While Al Nassr has already sprang their plan to swoop in for Kevin De Bruyne, things are not going to be as easy. The 32-year-old midfielder is currently out with an injury and could make a return in the coming months. Manchester City, who were looking to get the player to renew his contract with the club, has put negotiations on pause following the player’s injury.

Al Nassr wanted to use this opportunity to lure the player away from the English side. However, things haven’t worked out how the side expected as De Bruyne has allegedly no interested in playing anywhere outside Europe at this stage in his career.
