Pique is in the news since breaking up with Shakira last year in June. The diss track released by the Colombian last month fueled the controversy. There was an exchange between the ex-couple where Pique drove Twingo and wore a Casio watch. The Latin singer, in her diss track, referred to both brands.

It looks like the saga will continue as reports are Shakira will release another diss track aimed at Pique. Pique also made his relationship with Clara Chia public after the diss track, and now the couple is seen together more often. Meanwhile, amidst all the controversies, the former Barcelona defender is busy with his new venture, King’s League, a 7-a-side soccer league.

Recently, during a pre-show for a King’s League game, a former teammate of Pique and Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas trolled him for the referee decisions during the Champions League semifinal clash between Barcelona and Chelsea.

Iker Casillas reminds Pique of controversial refereeing decisions in Barcelona game

Pique was on the Jijantes FC channel with all the owners of the 12 clubs in the King’s League. It was a preview show ahead of matchday six, due to take place on Sunday. While speaking on refereeing decisions, Pique reminded everyone of a decision for a game between Real Madrid and Elche from La Liga 2013-14 season.

“This is one of the most historic of Madrid’s embarrassments, one of them,” Pique joked while reminding the decision made by former Spanish referee Cesar Muniz Fernandez. He gave a 94th-minute penalty to Los Blancos, who won 2-1 after Cristiano Ronaldo stepped up and scored. Pique felt it was a controversial decision.

The controversial game saw Barcelona drawing the game in the second leg of the Champions League semifinal against Chelsea. Barcelona went on to win the tournament after reaching the final in one of the most controversial games.
