USWNT superstar Alex Morgan is a role model for many. Her goal-scoring exploits have helped her club and USWNT. Apart from on-field accomplishments, the player has contributed off the field. She was one of the players who fought for pay equity for women soccer players. Their fight was successful, and US Soccer reached an agreement with the players.
Many of her teammates have praised the contribution of Morgan to the development of women’s soccer. Recently, her USWNT teammate Lynn Williams was the one who hailed the San Diego Wave forward for her contributions to NWSL. Williams thanked Morgan for it.

Alex Morgan receives praise from the USWNT teammate
Lynn Williams and Sam Mewis come on the Snacks podcast of Just Women’s Sport every week to discuss stories around women’s soccer. In the latest episode, Williams and Mewis talked about NWSL week three. Alex Morgan joined them in between the show, where they discussed the pre-World Cup and other aspects.
However, Williams took the opportunity to thank Morgan for what she has done for women’s soccer in the US. Williams said, “I think that a lot of people see you as like amazing Alex Morgan, amazing goal scorer, beautiful woman, but they don’t necessarily always see all the things that you do behind the scenes.”

“So I’m really happy you brought up the anti-harassment policy. I don’t think our league has an anti-harassment policy without you, which is incredible. I don’t even know if there is an NWSL without you. You’ve fought and pushed for that so much,” Williams added.
“So I think that I just wanna take this time to say thank you so much for using your platform and realizing that you have it and saying, you know what, I’m gonna help,” Gotham FC forward said, praising Morgan. Williams would hope to bounce back from her injury that kept her out of action last year.
Great start to 2023 for Morgan

Alex Morgan started the year 2023 in the best possible way. She won the She Believes Cup earlier this year. In three appearances, Morgan scored a goal and assisted two, playing a vital part in the campaign. She has six appearances for USWNT in 2023, notching two goals and two assists.
Morgan also started the 2023 NWSL season with a bang. In three appearances, she got three goals for the club. She also made a substitute appearance for San Diego Wave FC in the NWSL Challenge Cup opener. Wave beat Portland Thorns n that game. With the World Cup this year, Morgan has started 2023 significantly.
