The winter transfer window could open the gates of hope for Jadon Sancho after his fallout with Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag. While there are concerns amongst teams surrounding Sancho’s skill, it seems like one of his former teammates is more than ready to back his man. Manchester City star Erling Haaland took to his Instagram account to shower praise on Sancho while posting an image of him alongside his ex-teammate at Borussia Dortmund.

While the manager claimed Sancho was not meeting the required demands during training, the player quickly hit back on social media. His actions did not go down well with Erik ten Hag, who since then has frozen the Englishman out of the first team. The player since then has been linked with a return to Borussia Dortmund, with the German side interested in the winger’s services, with Haaland showing his support.

The Norwegian striker took to his Instagram account to praise the English star. Haaland, in his story, posted an image of himself alongside Sancho sitting next to the DFB Pokal title. The ex-Dortmund star also had a message for his former teammate as he captioned, “Proper baller that” followed by a love-struck emoticon.

According to multiple reports, German giant Borussia Dortmund is keenly monitoring Jadon Sancho’s situation at Manchester United. The club is said to be interested in a potential return for the player. However, the side is not completely sold on a full-time move and could negotiate a loan deal with Manchester United.

Sancho is currently earning a cushy deal at Manchester United, and it will be interesting to see if Dortmund has the wallet to reimburse his entire salary. The player is keen on a move from Old Trafford in search of regular playing time and could look for a full-time move away from the club if the deal with Dortmund fails to materialize.
