FC Barcelona is currently going through a series of transitions. The reigning La Liga champions are in financial turmoil as debts continue to worsen the club’s finances. Yet, they have been trying to survive and fiercely fight all the challenges with some exciting partnerships.

Their road to recovery started with winning the 2022 La Liga. While it helped them add something to their trophy cabinet, it also gave them major financial support. Meanwhile, they have also been taking huge economic decisions in order to balance their books. One such step they are taking is signing a new partnership deal with famous YouTubers, KSI and Logan Paul.

The poor monetary situation at Barcelona has forced the club to take crucial decisions, specifically, in financial terms. Joan Laporta and co. are looking to audit the club’s financial books. While selling players is one way around it, another method is by signing new sponsors. They recently signed Spotify as their main sponsor after the deal with Rakuten ended last year.

Interestingly, Blaugrana has a chance to replace one of its other sponsors, Gatorade. The Pepsi Co.-based energy drink brand signed a deal with the club in 2013. However, that deal is set to expire on June 30th. Subsequently, the club is looking at KSI and Logan Paul’s famous energy drink venture, PRIME, as stated by Mundo Deportivo.

The duo has been making strides in the news because of their latest drink venture. The YouTubers’ famous drink is becoming a fan favorite as people are buying it in large numbers. Hence, this gives Barca the idea of collaborating with famous stars and their venture as they look to expand their fanbase and presence in the market.

Since its inception, Prime has experienced rapid and significant growth, and the company has already secured substantial sponsorship agreements with Arsenal and the UFC. Hence, it will definitely benefit the La Liga side if they manage to get them as sponsors.

The media attention surrounding Logan Paul and KSI can greatly benefit Barcelona in its efforts to expand its global fan base, particularly in the United States. This is significant as Barcelona is set to embark on a pre-season tour in the country this summer. It provides opportunities for potential commercial collaborations similar to the partnership with Spotify last year.

Both Paul and KSI are well-known figures in the US and UK, and they also continue to become sensations around the world. Moreover, the drink’s sales are enough to tell how much of an impact it has on the youth market. The high demand for Prime has led to the online resale of the drink, as its availability is limited to select stores. Furthermore, the purchase of Prime is restricted to a certain quantity to prevent unauthorized business transactions outside the regulated market. Indeed, the deal will benefit both PRIME and FC Barcelona.
