Since Lionel Messi joined Inter Miami, he has changed the fortunes of the club. The Argentine’s 11 goals in 11 matches have revitalized American soccer culture, as fans eagerly tune in to see him toying with opposition defenders. Leo’s Barcelona teammate, Gerard Pique, in a recent media appearance, emphasized his impact and iterated that the league is too easy for Messi.

Appearing on the YouTube channel ‘The Club,’ Pique described MLS’ level to be “peanuts” in front of Lionel Messi. While this metaphor for the league is a tad too extreme, an argument against it is also hard to back, given La Pulga’s performances.
