Paris Saint Germain needed a win against AC Milan to make it to the top of their Champions League group. They did exactly that as they defeated the Italian giants 3-0 at home. Kylian Mbappe continued his goalscoring form as he opened the scoring in the 32nd minute to settle the nerves of the fans and the management. However, French legend Frank Leboeuf has claimed that the front three at times did not exist in the match despite the goals from Kylian Mbappe and Randal Kolo Muani.

Frank Leboeuf, speaking on the performance of PSG’s front three said, “You’re talking about the front three. Well, the front three didn’t exist for 30 minutes. I really wonder where Dembele and Kolo Muani were in the first 30 minutes. We saw Mbappe a little bit, just a little bit, but really, in the first 30 minutes, I say, where are the guys? and it’s because at the back, you know, Marquinhos decided to do the job, and in the middle of the park, Vitinha Manuel Ugarte and Zaire worked enough to make sure Paris kept the clean sheet. Otherwise, we saw nothing really, and I was wondering half time. I said what Luiz Enrique was going to do at the front, except for that specific action where Mbappe scores expect that we saw nothing from the three at the front.”

Paris Saint Germain manager Luis Enrique will feel relieved that his defense in recent weeks is doing well. This has also helped the wing-backs create chances for the front three. However, the feeling is the front three have struggled to communicate well with each other during the matches.

At the moment, the biggest problem for PSG is that the front three have struggled for goals. Kylian Mbappe also struggled to score in the four games before the AC Milan game. The new signing Ousmane Dembele is yet to score for PSG. Another new signing Goncalo Ramos has also only scored 2 goals this season. Hence, at the moment Kylian Mbappe and Kolo Muani are providing the goals and assists. However, Luis Enrique will probably not panic since PSG signed them as long-term replacements for Lionel Messi and Neymar.

The forward line is still adjusting to the tactics of the manager. They are also trying to understand the positions of each other off the ball and while making runs in the opposition box. The social media have also trolled Ousmane Dembele for making a very poor start to the season. However, PSG fans have stood up for the player as they see his effort to make an improvement.
