Gerard Pique has finally been on every news headline for reasons other than his public feud with Shakira. The FC Barcelona legend organized a ‘picture perfect’ sporting event at the Nou Camp. The soccer veteran held the Kings League’s final four at Barca’s home ground. It’s safe to say that it was a perfect hit in the soccer universe.

The atmosphere around the unique soccer league’s final was just like the UEFA Champions League. However, there were still a few matters of concern.

Despite all the hard work with Ibai Llanos to organize a soccer league, nobody seemed to have that same level of respect for Pique anymore after his public controversy with his ex-girlfriend, Shakira.

Shakira indirectly features during the opening act at the Nou Camp

The Kings League final was definitely a sight to remember. From drama to embarrassing moments, it had it all. Before the final four could even begin, the entire Nou Camp chanted ‘SUI’ during a fun penalty shootout with the Presidents of the League. While the fans controversially remembered Cristiano Ronaldo at Nou Camp, there was another weird moment.

As per the Europa Press, the soccer veteran arrived at the stadium in a helicopter with Milan and Sasha, his two kids. That would have been mainly to avoid any sort of public banter with any fan on the way to the stadium. But Pique’s experience at his own league’s final turned from bad to worse after Chuty and Gazir embarrassed him.

Chuty and Gazir are two popular rappers in Spain. But the two of them made a mention of Shakira and a few lines from her diss tracks during their opening performance of the final four. The rappers mentioned ‘sorry to splash you’ and other iconic lines from her collaboration with Bizarrap. The soccer veteran tried his best to ignore the boos and look at his phone.

After quite a successful first season, the fans are pretty eager to get some details on Pique’s upcoming plans.

What’s next for the Kings League after season 1?

There were quite a few ‘moments to remember’ during the inaugural edition of the Kings League. The soccer legend and Ibai Llanos managed to get Ronaldinho on board to play a game in the soccer league. The fans will also never forget the terrible fight between Pique and a few other Presidents of the league over a rule breach.

However, the Spanish soccer legend has dropped a few hints about the ‘Brazilian’ version of the Kings League. A few weeks ago, he announced that Ronaldinho would own the first team of the Brazilian Kings League. On the day of the final four at the Nou Camp, Pique revealed that even Neymar would be an owner of a team in the unique soccer league.
