“He is Hungry” – Ousmane Dembele Lauds ‘Motivated’ Kylian Mbappe After French Super Cup Win

Not one can keep Kylian Mbappe out of action for very long. The French superstar gave off a scary vibe early in the season after he was left out of the squad. But the lows of the past don’t seem to impact Mbappe even a bit, as he is back winning titles. Adding to his reputation of being strong mentally, Ousmane Dembele called him ‘motivated’ and ‘hungry.’

Dembele is aware that playing together with the superstar at PSG may or may not be certain in the near future. But with the important UEFA Champions League at stake, Dembele is sure that the star is totally ready for the battles coming until he stays.

Dembele’s start to PSG’s career was a bit slow. But the star realized that his club’s main player’s form is important for the team to march ahead in the season. According to reports, Dembele said, “I’m feeling very good. He’s (Mbappe) back from vacation, highly motivated as usual. He’s hungry, and he knows that the second half of the season is very important.”

The players went on a New Year’s break and are now back on the battlefield. Starting off the new year with a Trophée des Champions title, Dembele feels that Mbappe understands the value of the upcoming phase with the UEFA Champions League and Ligue Un at stake. The 25-year-old scored an impressive second goal in yesterday’s game, which got the year kicked off on a high. PSG won the game 2-0 against Toulouse, which also marked another landmark for the World Cup Golden Boot winner.

Kylian Mbappe also became the top scorer for PSG at Parc des Princes, beating Edinson Cavani to reach 111 goals. Not only his current form, but his records are a testament to an astonishing career at the club. The star is already the all-time top scorer for the Parisians. This season, he has already scored 22 goals in 23 games for PSG, helping them stay on top of the Ligue 1 table.

Ousmane Dembele optimistic about the future

Dembele, on the other hand, won his first trophy in his country. The star’s previous victories came at FC Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund away from France. But the star would like to step up, as he just scored one goal this season in spite of having seven assists. But the right winger is also optimistic about himself and expects to win Ligue Un.

On the other hand, Mbappe’s much-speculated about future hasn’t been decided yet, according to the former Barcelona player. Mbappe also made it clear recently that his main focus is on winning trophies this season. The star’s contract will expire in the summer, but the club would like to keep him in good health for the important season ahead.
