When was the last time an incoming striker made as decisive an impact on his new team? Manchester City has boosted the league by signing one of the best strikers in the world. Erling Haaland has taken soccer in England by fire. You would have imagined him to cool down after a brilliant first season, but he still keeps on going. The star reached another goal-scoring record. And with his recent match-winning performance, the Norwegian star won accolades even from his rival’s former player, Gary Neville.

Gary Neville, who doesn’t hand out compliments readily, expressed his awe at the striker’s exploits. After yesterday’s game against Liverpool, Neville spoke about his views on the game, which also included some important points about Haaland and his short-term legacy.

Manchester City is already blessed to have the striker at their service. The club emerged above teams like Real Madrid to sign a five-year deal with Pep Guardiola’s team. However, the former Manchester United player felt that the whole Premier League was fortunate to have Erling Haaland.

While speaking to Sky Sports, Neville said, “He’s a giant; he’s world-class; he’s top top top, so I’ve no doubts at all; I mean, no one has. It’s phenomenal; he’s an absolute phenomenon, and we’re lucky to have him in the league.”

Neville called the Norwegian a giant and world-class athlete because of his high-quality performances despite facing criticism. The striker has already scored 18 goals in 19 games this season and also provided his team with four assists. The goalscoring machine has dismantled all the talk surrounding the ability to score without Kevin De Bruyne.

Neville called the Premier League lucky to have him, as he feels such players usually sign with Real Madrid and Barcelona. The star already trumped players like Kylian Mbappe to win the 2023 UEFA Player of the Year award.

He keeps on adding to his glory as he broke another record in the Premier League.
