“I am Inspired by Sadio Mane” – Victor Osimhen Longs to Emulate Cristiano Ronaldo’s Teammate for a Noble Cause

Napoli’s Victor Osimhen has been at the center of media coverage for all the wrong reasons recently. Osimhen was involved in a controversy after his current club Napoli posted a defamatory video of the striker on TikTok. However, as per his recent comments, Osimhen is preparing to start a foundation in Africa inspired by Senegalese forward and Cristiano Ronaldo‘s current teammate, Sadio Mane.
Osimhen has been an important part of Napoli’s success and topped the scoring charts in the Italian Serie A last season scoring 26 goals to lead the club to their first Scudetto title in 33 years. However, now as per a recent report, he wants to give back to his home continent of Africa emulating former Liverpool and Bayern Munich attacker Sadio Mane.

According to the latest reports Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen is aiming to help disabled people in Africa. He has now made a statement saying that he has been inspired by Senegal and current Al Nassr forward Sadio Mane, but aims to create a foundation that’s slightly different from Mane’s cause.
As reported in this tweet on X, Osimhen said, “I am inspired by Sadio Mane. But I have a different goal compared to his. He is building infrastructure for the community of Senegal. That is awesome.”

Osimhen has garnered support from a host of people worldwide following his row with Napoli over the TikTok controversy, and one of them is Nigerian musician Timaya.
Nigerian musician Timaya offers support to Victor Osimhen
The famous Nigerian artist Timaya has offered his support to Osimhen since the entire TikTok debacle with Napoli and has even suggested that Osimhen is the club’s best player since late Argentine soccer legend Diego Maradona.
In a tweet on X, Timaya said: “Napoli and the World should put some respect on Osimhen’s Name. They’ve not had a player like that since Maradona.”

With so much support from world over, it looks like Victor Osimhen’s plan to help disabled people in Africa will surely go a long way in uplifting the continent. As his plan has only begun, it will be interesting to see how his foundation helps people in the African continent in the long run.
