In a generation of high social media obsession, staying out of it can be a little strange. Among the prominent social media apps like Instagram, Facebook, and even YouTube, TikTok is the most used app. But, two top soccer players, Erling Haaland and Cristiano Ronaldo, don’t associate much with the most entertaining application on the smartphone. The reasons are quite the opposite.

Erling Haaland had a great 2022-23 season. The player won the treble with Manchester City and the European Player of the Year. But the player has a normal and humble approach to his life outside soccer, like having good food, hanging out, and working on his fitness. The Manchester City star doesn’t seem to care much about social media.

Although Erling Haaland likes playing video games, his interest in social media is limited. The Norwegian uses Instagram regularly and posts videos of him playing. But when asked about TikTok, he confessed to not having any TikTok account when asked on a podcast a few weeks ago. Haaland said, “No, I don’t have TikTok.” “I know my goals, but I won’t go home and search my name on TikTok to see if there is any video or something.

Erling Haaland was asked if he watches his videos from the pitch on social media. The 22-year-old denied saying he neither uses the app nor searches for his name on it. Haaland said that he remembers his goals but was not a big fan of watching them.

The forward also stated that he always likes to look at the present and future instead of watching old videos to analyze them. In fact, Haaland said that he doesn’t enjoy watching himself play after the game and tries to leave it behind most of the time.

Haaland continued saying that he always tries to improve and become a better version of himself instead of probing the past. Even though the platform is largely for entertainment, there are a few players who use it for fun and create content.

While Erling Haaland isn’t keen on using the platform, his soccer pal Cristiano Ronaldo has been a victim of an unexpected drawback. One soccer veteran does it out of choice. However, does the Portuguese soccer legend fall into the same bracket?

Another icon cannot use TikTok

Recent news broke on the internet saying that Cristiano Ronaldo also can not use TikTok. The platform recently banned the Portuguese star without any reason given. However, being the most followed person on Instagram, the platform’s harsh approach toward the Al Nassr star is surprising.

Ronaldo and Haaland are currently not using TikTok for quite the opposite reasons. On one side, Ronaldo could likely have the interest but cannot use it, and Haaland doesn’t seem interested in it. Getting to the sport, both the strikes have brilliant goal-scoring abilities with achievements in their own timeline. Additionally, both the strikers have a well-organized lifestyle, which inspires many of their followers. The two are usually active on Instagram, where they keep posting regularly.
