At the age of 24, Kylian Mbappe is already dominating world soccer. The French soccer star already has the world at his feet at such a young age. Mbappe won the FIFA World Cup at the age of just 19. Like a few other soccer stars he also has a unique tastes in music. A few years ago, Kylian Mbappe was once asked to pick between Kanye West and Drake.

However, the French soccer star did not hesitate in his answer even a tad bit. Quite a few soccer fans were shocked after hearing who Kylian would prefer. Also, Cristiano Ronaldo has previously revealed his go-to music to be Elton John.

Who did Mbappe choose? Kanye West or Drake?

In 2019, ESPN invited Kylian Mbappe for a fun interview. During that interview, Kylian Mbappe was asked about his opinion on the ‘biggest debates’ that will never have a definite answer. Mbappe was asked whether he would prefer Kevin Durant or LeBron James on his team. The French soccer star was asked another funny question – ‘French fries or French toast’?

It was then time for the main question. The interviewer says, “How about we stay with hip hop. How about Drake or Kanye?”. The French super striker then had a broad smirk on his face. However, it seemed like Mbappe already knew the answer to that question. Without any hesitation, Mbappe said, “I would say, Drake”.

Drake has always had a very close connection to the Toronto Raptors. A few months prior to this interview, the Raptors had coincidently won the NBA. In context with that, the interviewer laughed and replied, “Well, you have to now. Because they won, Toronto won. You have to now. Is that why you are saying it?”. Mbappe nodded and said, “No, But I listen more Drake”. The French striker then revealed that his favorite song was ‘Controller’.

Over the years, Mbappe’s love for the game hasn’t died down. The French soccer star has continued to watch the NBA. Kylian Mbappe and his teammate, Achraf Hakimi were spotted at a Nets-Spurs NBA match just days after the FIFA World Cup final.

Why does Drake have a connection with soccer?

Drake has quite a close connection with soccer too. But not in the way he would have imagined. Whenever the Canadian rapper clicks a photograph with a sports star, something bad has always happened. However, it’s definitely not a coincidence because of the number of times the curse has repeated itself.

Sergio Aguero and Paul Pogba have been very popular victims of the Drake curse. Aguero once met Drake and clicked a picture with him before a very important Champions League game. A few days later, Aguero misses a vital penalty, and Manchester City eventually gets knocked out of the Champions League.

A similar case with Paul Pogba too. The French international took a picture with Drake just days before the FA Cup quarterfinal in 2019. The Red Devils ended up going against the odds and shockingly losing that game.
