It’s not going well for Neymar. The Brazilian soccer icon would have aspired to do well against Uruguay after the entire commotion on and off the field after Venezuela. However, luck did not favor the soccer veteran. Neymar had to be substituted after the injury. He was also seen leaving on crutches after the match. Without a doubt, that might turn out to be a nightmare for Brazil and Al Hilal.
The Al Hilal star will now likely miss the next few matches for his club too. Further medical treatment will also happen after the player returns to Saudi Arabia. This is also a terrible blow personally for Neymar as he would have wanted to play and start games consistently this season.

Therefore, it is very early to make an assumption about the seriousness of the knee injury. So, for now, it is a waiting game for all. But one thing is clear this is a terrible blow in the scheme of things for Brazil and Al Hilal in the short term.

What’s next for Al Hilal and Brazil?
Neymar is likely to miss very important matches for Al Hilal even if it is a short-term injury. Al Hilal is currently 1st on the Saudi Pro League table. A fit Neymar could have helped them solidify that spot. The Saudi side is going to play 3 matches in the space of 9 days. In that, they will also travel to Asia for an AFC Champions League fixture.
On the other hand, Selecao is going to face Colombia and Argentina next month in the World Cup qualifiers. Therefore, the presence of Neymar could have helped both his club and country. Neymar could have also benefitted from the game time in the next few months. He had just recovered from the injury suffered at the start of the season.
