It’s been a dream come true for David Beckham to land two of the finest players the world has seen. Now the club is expecting FC Barcelona-type magic from Lionel Messi and his best friend Luis Suarez. However, Inter Miami boss Tata Martino reveals one secret that boosted their flow yesterday.

Speaking to the media, Tata Martino emphasized the importance of training. As it has been more than three and a half years since Suarez left Barcelona, Martino said, “I had been saying since we got back from Japan two weeks ago that we needed to have more training sessions together for them to rediscover their rhythm,” also taking into account their age and also their form.

Keeping this in mind, the aim was to get the on-field chemistry right between the two who ran riot in the Catalan club, scoring 621 goals together and winning multiple trophies, including the treble in 2015. But considering their injuries coupled with their recent form, they needed good on-field training.

The players had a session of rondos and running before being deemed fit for yesterday’s game against Real Salt Lake. Even though the preseason tour went on unexpected lines together, both Lionel Messi and Suarez have been back contributing.

The players provided the two goal scorers, Robert Taylor and Diego Gomez, with an assist, respectively. The club beat Western Conference team Real Salt Lake in the opener. However, fans were skeptical about Suarez keeping up with expectations as he suffered an injury to his leg. But Martino still feels that bonding in Barcelona is still possible. Suarez is managing by taking medications. Additionally, his recent contribution to Gremio with 29 goals last season may have been another factor in Martino’s trust. And whether it will get better from here is yet to be seen.
