Miami goalie Drake Callender’s wife, Kyra Rogers, a.k.a Kyra Aaliyah, has NCAA volleyball stories to tell.

Drake Callender and Kyra Rogers tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in California on December 12, 2023. The two had exchanged engagement rings on the same date in 2022. So, since when did they start dating? Did they go to the same college? Let’s find out.

Drake Callender and Kyra Rogers both hail from California. Interestingly, the two went to UCLA for college. As per a post on Callender’s Instagram handle, he and Rogers dated for eight years before getting engaged in December 2022. Notably, the Inter Miami goalie played for UCLA’s NCAA soccer team- California Golden Bears in 2016. Meanwhile, Kyra Rogers pursued a bachelor’s degree in sociology at UCLA from 2015 to 19. Hence, it is quite likely that Callender and Rogers first crossed paths at UCLA and later ventured into an everlasting relationship.

Kyra Rogers, today is Drake Callender’s biggest cheerleader. Rogers took to Nashville SC’s home stadium to celebrate Inter Miami’s iconic Leagues Cup after Lionel Messi joined the club. Strikingly, Callender won the best goalkeeper’s award at that Leagues Cup. Celebrating the monumental win, Rogers wrote “My MVP,” captioning her and Callander’s pictures on Instagram.

Though the Miami goalie is currently the only pro athlete in the Callender household, Kyra Rogers also featured in the NCAA for UCLA. However, she did not go pro. Instead, she ventured into other lucrative avenues.

Kyra Rogers played for the UCLA Bruins Women’s NCAA Volleyball team. She featured in the tournament in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 editions. Rogers played in the Middle Blocker position for the UCLA Bruins throughout her NCAA stint. During her second NCAA stint, the UCLA Volleyball team reached the regional final- which was her deepest run in the tournament. After leaving UCLA, Rogers interned with the NBA’s Sacramento Kings’ partnership marketing team. She has also volunteered for the Rosa Parks Root Garden installation in Sacramento.

Now, the former NCAA star has ventured into lifestyle and fashion blogging. She actively posts on TikTok and Instagram about hair care, specializing in curly hair.
