Tozer on his decision to stay with Wrexham despite Saudi offer

Earlier this year, Wrexham skipper Ben Tozer had been offered a big money deal from a Saudi Arabian outfit. The player had grabbed the attention of some clubs following his crucial performances for Wrexham in the National League. However, Tozer put an end to all the speculations of his departure as he decided to stay put at Wrexham.

When the defender was asked the reasoning behind his decision to stay at Wrexham, over picking the offer from Saudi, Tozer had this to say, “Playing for this club is so exciting at the moment. It’s really on the up. The stadium sells out every week. We won a trophy last year. We’re hoping to emulate that this season.”

Following his decision to stay with Wrexham, Ben Tozer is once again a crucial figure in the team following Ben Foster’s departure. With the Red Dragons hoping to bag consecutive promotions, Tozer will have to play a key role throughout the season.
