Jose Mourinho has time and again shown that he is the ‘special one’. The Portuguese manager has had decorated stints with some of the top clubs in Europe, with teams always interested in his services. However, it seems like Mourinho is happy with his time at Stadio Olimpico. In a recent interview, Mourinho commented on his decision to snub Cristiano Ronaldo-led Portugal’s coaching offer following the team’s disastrous campaign during the 2022 World Cup.

Mourinho has also attracted a lot of attention from Saudi Arabia. Multiple Middle Eastern sides are said to be interested in his services but have been flat-out ignored by the Portuguese tactician pleased with his work at Roma. However, despite his bravado, Roma is not having a great time in the Serie A. The side is currently placed 7th on the points table, seventeen points behind table-toppers Inter.

With Portugal failing to produce results during the World Cup 2022, it seemed like the team was interested in the Special One’s services. However, now it looks like Mourinho has different plans.

In an interview, the Portuguese tactician claimed, “Brazil didn’t call me to become the new coach. I told my agent: don’t speak to anyone as long as I’m AS Roma manager. I trust AS Roma owners 100%, I always informed them, including when Portugal called me and when the Saudi club called me last summer”
