The feud between Karim Benzema and Marcelo Gallardo has grown out of hand in recent months, with the duo at each other’s necks. Benzema is reportedly displeased with the manager throwing him under the bus for the team’s lack of results. Meanwhile, Gallardo believes the Frenchman is not living up to the team’s expectations and has failed to lead the charge from the front.

The ex-Real Madrid superstar left the fans pondering last night following his return to Instagram. Benzema had deactivated his account last year following his team’s defeat at the hands of Al Nassr. Fans were unhappy with the player’s performance as they blamed him for the team’s shambolic performance. It did not sit well with the Frenchman, who clapped back by taking himself off the platform.

Benzema has done a decent job following his move to Al Ittihad last summer. The French striker has found the back of the net twelve times in his twenty outings for the club. While these are some decent numbers, Al Ittihad fans have high expectations from the player and believe the Frenchman needs to go to the next level.
