Victor Osimhen doesn’t seem too pleased with the recent chatter. His teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s agent had recently revealed some unproven information regarding the Napoli goalscorer. As per the agent, Mamuka Jugel, the Nigerian striker would be heading to the Saudi Pro League next summer, despite rumors linking him to the Premier League. Osimhen posted a story on his Instagram taking shots at the agent with a bold caption that publicly questioned his ‘sense of reasoning‘ while calling him a ‘piece of filth‘.

The striker penned, “Dear Mamuka Jugeli, you are a piece of filth and a disgrace. I’m embarrassed at your sense of reasoning. Dumbf***! KEEP MY NAME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!!!“. The news is certainly not what Napoli fans would have wanted to hear. Despite winning the Serie A in 2022, Napoli has been nowhere near their best this campaign. They sit 9th on the table with just 1 win in their last 5 games. A major reason for the dip in their performance levels has been the subpar form of the strike duo of Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia.

Victor Osimhen who entered the record books recently and was the Serie A top scorer in 2022 (26 goals) has found the net just 7 times this campaign. The story is similar for Kvaratskhelia as well. The league’s MVP in 2022 has not been as influential this season. In fact, he has racked up as many yellow cards as compared to assists until now (4).

Last season, the Georgian provided 6 assists to the Nigerian striker, becoming the most prolific duo in the league. Yet, their chemistry is quite different this time around. Could there be a rift between the stars? After all, players do reveal a lot to their agents and Mamuka Jugel might know something we don’t.

Considering that Victor Osimhen is 25 and in his prime, a move to Saudi Arabia might be out of the equation for him. However, his chapter at Napoli is likely nearing its end, considering the constant rumors about a Premier League giant, whom Osimhen likes a lot.

Chelsea‘s interest in the Nigerian striker has been no secret. It seems Victor Osimhen likes the club as well. After all, he recently confessed that he has a Chelsea shirt in his wardrobe. Moreover, he had expressed his admiration for the Premier League. Previously, there was speculation that the Blues would sign the Napoli ace in the summer for a fee of over $100 million. However, the January transfer window has brought further rumors regarding the possibility.

On paper, the move makes perfect sense. Chelsea lacks a genuine goalscorer with the likes of Sterling (5), Mudryk (3), and Jackson (7) struggling in front of the net. Victor Osimhen would replace the physicality provided by Romelu Lukaku who is now at AS Roma. With Chelsea languishing at 10th spot, the upper management might be forced to pull the trigger.
