PSG is seeing Kylian Mbappe‘s best version, just when his days in Paris are numbered. The Frenchman scored his 250th PSG goal in his 200th appearance with a hat-trick during a recent Ligue 1 tie against Montpellier in probably his last season at the club. But there could be another twist in the tale, with the club’s owner and Emir of Qatar making him an improved offer, per reports.
Tamim ben Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, contacted Mbappe’s mother and agent Fayza Lamari to discuss a better offer for the player. The Qatari royal offered that PSG would increase the 25-year-old’s salary by 10%, as per Foot 01. Notably, Kylian Mbappe’s current salary costs PSG over $215 million a year. Besides, the offer comes when Mbappe has reportedly agreed to join Real Madrid by taking a pay cut. The Frenchman’s projected salary at Madrid stands at around $20 million a season for a five-year contract.
However, per reports in the Spanish media, Mbappe’s entourage has rejected Tamim ben Hamad Al Thani’s generous offer. Spanish journalist Luis Alberto Lopez wrote on Defensa Central, “

Interestingly, Al Thani’s offer comes after Mbappe and the Emir met in French President Emmanuel Macron’s presence last month.
Mbappe and the president of the club Al-Khelaifi received an invitation to Paris’ Elysee Palace from President Macron, who himself is no stranger to stepping into matters at the capital club. Macron has said that he would “try and push” for the French player to agree to a new deal. But Mbappe seems to have made up his mind despite the new increased offer. Earlier Mbappe turned down Saudi club Al Hilal, who offered him a world record $1.1 billion deal.
While Real Madrid won’t splurge as much as the Qatari investors to keep Mbappe happy, they will try everything in their spending limit to acquire his signature this summer.

How much will Kylian Mbappe earn in Real Madrid?
Though Kylian Mbappe and Los Blancos have not put his deal to paper, the former has agreed to join Madrid on a five-year deal in June after his PSG contract expires. While his salary will massively drop after the Madrid switch, the club would splurge north of $120 million as a signing-on bonus for the player. Also, the 2018 World Champion will receive a percentage of his image rights. Real Madrid has historically kept players’ image rights revenue to themselves. But they have no choice but to give in to the Frenchman’s advances.

As of now, the Frenchman’s potential five-year Madrid deal has a total value of around $250 million. Besides, Mbappe’s earnings in Real Madrid substantially vary from those of the team’s top earners- Toni Kroos, Jude Bellingham, and Vinicius Jr. Given Real Madrid’s legacy and the Frenchman’s long-standing affinity to the club, there is little chance that he would backtrack and accept an offer from PSG or any other party.
