Liverpool is undoubtedly one of the most successful soccer clubs in the world, with its rich history and achievements. The club is also owned in part by NBA legend LeBron James via the Fenway Sports Group. And now the merry side team has overtaken their major rivals, Manchester United, in the Money League.

According to the latest Deloitte Money League survey, the English soccer club Liverpool has surprisingly overtaken Manchester United in overall revenue generated. The Deloitte Money League is a survey that calculates the revenue collected by soccer clubs and organizes it in a league table.

Liverpool overtakes Man United with a massive gap

In the 26th edition of the survey, Liverpool has taken over Manchester United. And has made its place in the third position, the highest for the club in all the survey history. With revenue of $732.4 million, Liverpool placed third in the Deloitte Money League, while United, in fourth, generated $718 million.

This is a big jump for Liverpool who was in seventh position in the previous year with $678 million, while the red devils were in fifth with $688 million generated in revenue. Liverpool has been on a sharp rise over the past few years under the ownership of Fenway Sports Group and LeBron James.
