Losing Kylian Mbappe To Real Madrid, Barcelona Rejects PSG’s 219M Plan- Reports
FC Barcelona has been a bit subdued in transfer talks this year. The entire market was filled with chatter about Kylian Mbappe and his potential move to Real Madrid. Calling off his time with the Paris-based club, Mbappe lit the eyes of the Catalan club, which was also reportedly interested in the star. Nevertheless, after losing to its archrivals outright, Blaugrana has now got a boost in morale after a $219 million validation. This could prove their competence against Real Madrid who seem to be sweeping away with big players.
Joan Laporta and Co. did not add many high-profile names to their list this season. Even though they have acquired treble-winner Ilkay Gundogan and Joao Felix, Real Madrid’s signing of Jude Bellingham has proved to be the brightest, considering the Los Blancos’ swiftness on the pitch. However, the Blaugrana can have a bit of a breather as its young sensation, Lamine Yamal, as reported by Marca, has attracted a $219 million offer from Paris Saint-Germain. But to add a cherry on top, FC Barcelona have rejected to sell the 16-year-old.
It was claimed that this was the reason Jorge Mendes was in FC Barcelona. Mendes met Laporta to reveal Luis Enrique’s interest in the teenager. After Lionel Messi, this might be the first time Barcelona is receiving such a high market rate for a player, excluding those gigantic release clauses. On the other hand, Yamal has been a revelation for the club.

At just 16 years of age, the player has already become vital for Xavi’s team. Playing on the right wing and midfield, the player already scored 6 goals and provided 7 assists for the club. Additionally, his left-footed stunner against Mallorca, which won the game, added more weight to his reputation. But, seems like the Parisians are already showing signs of anxiety to get an appropriate replacement for Mbappe.

Will Paris Saint Germain get an appropriate replacement for Kylian Mbappe?
Kylian Mbappe has been the face of PSG for years now but has chosen to leave them and is expected to join Real Madrid. The player is already the club’s highest scorer with 246 goals and 105 assists in 294 appearances. He was the main reason for PSG’s success in reaching the 2020 UEFA Champions League final. Additionally, the Frenchman has also taken them to the QFs of this year’s tournament and PSG now has the chance to achieve European glory for the first time. To replace such a player in the squad will be an uphill task for the Qatar-owned club.

However, the hunt is still on for a suitable player. Reports suggested that players like Victor Osimhen and even Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka lately have been on PSG’s wish list. With money not an issue, PSG also sees an advantage, but the mission is not that easy as players can be in heavy demand. Nevertheless, it is clear that PSG has to continue without the star, and the club is expected to go all in the next window.
