But a twist in the tale left him high and dry. And now, as revenge for missing out, he plans to take it in the Asian Champions League.

The recent, resounding comments by the goalkeeper show his ambition and determination to succeed against the best. However, as far as the Al Nassr star is concerned, he will focus on recovering from the injury that caused issues in China.

The postponement of the China tour has not only enraged the fans, but the players also who were going to face one of the best players in the world. One of them was Shanghai Shenhua’s goalkeeper Bao Yaxiong. When he was asked about his thoughts on the cancelled friendly, he said, “This regret can only be made up for in the AFC Champions League.” If the 26-year-old goalkeeper wants to clash with Ronaldo in Asia’s top competition, he will have to unfortunately wait for the next season.

His team Shanghai Shenhua F.C. finished in third place in their Champions League group F this season. Hence, unlike Al Nassr, they failed to progress to the Round of 16. The Knights of Najd will face fellow Saudi side Al Fayha FC. But as far as the Chinese goalkeeper is concerned, it will be interesting to see whether he can fulfill his ambitions next season.

No doubt postponing the China tour has hit the fans very hard, however, the bright side for the beloved fans of the 38-year-old is that the tour could happen later this year.

The organizers also showed their frustration by providing the Knights of Najd with a public bus to the airport. However amid all the sadness, the positive is that there is a chance that the commitment could be completed.

A social media user has pointed out that the ticket booking platform is showing that the game has been postponed to 30th September. Hence, the indications will certainly raise the hopes of the fans.
