Welsh side Wrexham has received a lot of attention thanks to their Hollywood owners. Both Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have done a great job and generated buzz around the club. However, not everyone is a fan of the side with former Sheffield United star Billy Sharp going all in on the club following their clash during the FA Cup. The player following the incident joined the MLS side LA Galaxy. However, it seems like his time with the side has come to a premature end.

The team’s docuseries ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ also shared those moments of Sharp’s outburst. The player was visibly pissed with the club and did not shy from making his opinion known. However, owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney did not take too kindly to his outburst as they shared their thoughts on what went down.

English soccer star Billy Sharp has been released by the MLS side LA Galaxy. The move comes off as a big surprise for the fans, as the Englishman had made some valuable contributions for the side this season. Following his move to the club, Sharp made 12 outings in the MLS this season, finding the back of the net 6 times.

However, it seems like the side was not too impressed with the player’s efforts and has parted ways with the Englishman. LA Galaxy, apart from Billy Sharp has also released goalkeeper Jonathan Klinsmann, defenders Tony Alfaro, Calegari, and Kelvin Leerdam, and midfielder Uri Rosell.

The team had a rough season in the MLS this time as they missed making it into the playoffs. The side finished second bottom in the Western Conference, which has been one of their poorest performances. However, what’s the connection between Sharp and Wrexham?

Sharp was all over the news last season following Sheffield United’s win over Wrexham in the FA Cup. The striker went all in on the Welsh club following the game, which did not sit down well with the team’s owners.

Billy Sharp didn’t mince his words while speaking about Wrexham last season following his win over the team in the FA Cup. The player was not pleased with the team and their fans, as he felt they were disrespectful to a side playing leagues above them. However, his outburst did not go well with the Wrexham owners, who did not shy away from taking a dig at Sharp.

During one of the episodes from the second season of ‘Welcome to Wrexham’, Ryan Reynolds can be seen talking about the incident. He said, “It was really interesting. It was Psychology 101. It was like ‘Oh we own you right now’. You’re a Championship team, and second place in the Championship, you guys are amazing. And this guy, we just got under his skin. It was so, so wonderful to see that we got under that guy’s skin the way we did.” McElhenney also joined in on the discussion, adding: “We were living rent-free in that mother******’s brain!”.
