Social media banter can sometimes reach unimaginable extremes. Andrew Tate and Swedish activist Greta Thunberg were in every news headline recently. Andrew Tate is a former kickboxer turned American–British media personality.

Over the past few days, the two of them had a very sour exchange of words on Twitter. Andrew Tate is known for broadcasting his controversial opinions. However, this time, the fans were shocked to see the level of vulgarity the tweets included. The entire Thunberg–Tate saga also didn’t end in the nicest way.

Apart from the mainstream banter these two were having, Trevor Noah suddenly jumped into the conversation. The South African comedian thinks that Thunberg should now take on Salt Bae.

What happened to Andrew Tate? How did Salt Bae get involved?

This entire saga started when Andrew Tate posted a tweet explaining how much gas his cars emit. Tate also tagged Thunberg in that tweet. The purpose of this tweet was just to trigger Greta Thunberg. The Swedish activist replied to this tweet by mocking Tate. She replied to the tweet and stated a vulgar email id.

Tate then replied to that tweet with a 2-minute video. Soon after that, Tate was arrested as he unknowingly revealed his location through the pizza boxes in the video. Thunberg then shut the conversation by saying, “this is what happens when you don’t recycle your pizza boxes”.

This is when Trevor Noah steps in. Noah posted a tweet that said, “Now we just need Greta to take care of Salt Bae…”. One of the fans replied to that by saying, “Forget Salt Bae. She needs to take care of Piers Morgan”.

Most of the reactions include fans poking fun at Salt Bae. However, Salt Bae also has an entire controversy to his name.

Salt Bae’s antics after the FIFA World Cup final

Recently, Nusret Gökçe, popularly known as Salt Bae, made it to the soccer headlines alongside Lionel Messi. Salt Bae was in attendance at the Lusail Stadium to watch the FIFA World Cup final. The Argentines won the World Cup final on penalties.

This was one of the most nail-biting soccer finals ever. After the match, Lionel Messi lifted the World Cup trophy with his Argentine teammates. After a certain point, the security allowed Salt Bae to access the soccer pitch.

The Turkish Butcher ran straight to Lionel Messi. Salt Bae was continuously pulling the Argentine’s hand, forcing him to take a picture. However, the Argentine legend showed no interest. Messi then finally obliged and posed for a picture.

Salt Bae then surprisingly got hold of the World Cup Trophy. He then posed for pictures with the prestigious trophy. Those pictures instantly went viral on social media and the butcher received tons of hate for breaking FIFA etiquette.

Following that incident, Salt Bae received a ban from attending the US Open Cup final that will happen in 2023.
