The soccer world is on its own sometimes. It doesn’t take much time for rivals to become admirers. That narrative went beyond everyone’s veins when Erling Haaland surprised one of his teammates by scoring a hat trick, which he did not expect.

They criticized the Manchester City forward earlier for not getting involved in midfield to link-up play. But not many could have expected that the star was born to score goals. With his incredible goal-scoring contributions, no team would like to complain about his play in between the pitch. It left the new signing, Josko Gvardiol, confused!

The Norwegian forward possesses an innate inclination to position himself strategically during matches. The player’s remarkable ability to score goals has surprised Manchester City defender Gvardiol. Haaland thrashed the defender’s team, RB Leipzig, last year, which Gvardiol appreciated.

Gvardiol said, “At the start of the game, he’s nowhere to be seen, then he turns up and scores a hat-trick. What he did, I don’t understand how, but I like him.”

The striker can be devastating when appearing calm at first and then weaves his magic in seconds. Haaland himself revealed that he gets into his thinking zone while playing. But Gvardiol reminisces about his time at Leipzig when he faced the 6-foot-4-inch giant in the UEFA Champions League. Haaland, out of nowhere, scored five goals in Manchester City’s 7-0 victory against a formidable RB Leipzig, shocking the Croatian.

Gvardiol has the reputation of being the best left-back in the world. The Croatian has the ability to understand how strikers build up to their goal-scoring. However, Haaland’s ability to switch on suddenly impressed the star.
