Al Nassr has a crucial fixture against Karim Benzema-led Al Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League. Cristiano Ronaldo and the team will need to win the match to keep their title challenge going this season against Al Hilal. However, ahead of the fixture, star midfielder Otavio has hinted that he could leave the Saudi giants in the future.

The Portuguese midfielder signed for Al Nassr in this summer transfer window. Hence, the indication to leave them raises some doubts about his immediate future with the club.

The summer transfer window at the start of the season saw many European stars arrive in the Saudi Pro League. One of them was Cristiano’s Portugal teammate Otavio from Portuguese giants Porto. He made a $65 million move to Al Nassr. However, in an interview, the star midfielder gave a surprising comment about his future. The 28YO has said that he would love to move back to Porto at some point in his career. This is a substantial statement in anticipation of their upcoming match against Al Ittihad.

The Portuguese international has become a critical part of the team. He has started the majority of games this season under Luis Castro. The 28-year-old midfielder has also scored four goals this season. There were many questions about his future with the national team. However, he has remained integral to the team under Roberto Martinez, like Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to reports, the Al Nassr manager wants three new players in the January transfer window. Nonetheless, in order to secure those players, they will need to sell players from the current roster. The Saudi media continue to link Casemiro and Raphael Varane to reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Moreover, the Knights of Najd could also look at signing a marquee goalkeeper this January. It is after the criticism of their starting goalkeeper, Nawaf-Al-Aqidi. Otavio’s midfielder partner Seko Fofana is also constantly getting linked to an exit. There are rumors that he could leave for the right price and make a space in the squad to sign a foreign player.
