Recently, a picture surfaced on social media that highlighted the stark age difference between Shakira and Pique. However, it’s popularly believed that ‘Age is just a number’, and the main reason why this couple split was after Gerard Pique’s infidelity.

The age gap was never a barrier!

A Twitter user recently uploaded a collage of how Gerard Pique and Shakira looked back in 1990. While viewing the image, it’s important to remember that the age difference between Shakira and Pique was about 10 years. In the image, Shakira would have just entered her teens while the Spanish soccer star was a toddler.

Despite the age factor, the celebrity couple was together for about a decade. Gerard Pique and Shakira defied several societal norms about their stark age difference while they were in a relationship. The ‘perfect’ couple also gave birth to two lovely children, Milan and Sasha, in 2013 and 2015, respectively.
