The National Women’s Soccer League is picking up steam. Over the years, significant developments have transpired that redefine the domestic landscape of women’s soccer. While the league’s burgeoning popularity helped it secure a television rights deal exceeding $240 million, this escalating momentum is also driving an increase in ticket prices. This raises the question- which of the 14 NWSL teams charges the highest ticket rates? Let’s dive deeper.

Are the ticket prices for an average NWSL match on the rise?

To answer this question directly- Yes, it’s true. Since the start of the 2024 season, resale tickets for National Women’s Soccer League matches have surged by nearly 49% compared to last year’s sales. There has been an average increase from $51 per ticket, now reaching $76. Moreover, Vivid Seats, an online ticket marketplace, reveals that fans are now willing to travel 20% farther than previously, with the average distance increasing from 179 miles to 214 miles to support their favorite teams. But why is there such an increase? Well, there is one team responsible for this—Kansas City Current.
