Some decisions reap rewards after a long time. David de Gea was Manchester United’s wall for many years; he saved them some crucial goals and helped them win. But the star started making silly errors that could have cost Erik ten Hag’s team a lot. On the other hand, his replacement, Andre Onana, has had a season of blunders. Looking at the situation, the former club legend feels that de Gea made the right decision to move on.

The Red Devils had a pretty successful season under ten Hag last time. The club was able to win the Carabao Cup and finish third. To improvise on the previous year’s performance, the Dutch manager had already decided on the players he wanted to stay with. However, things seem to have worked out just for one party.

Onana’s mistakes are already proving to affect United this season.

The goalkeeper missed some of the easy saves in the most important of games. The keeper conceded four extra goals in the UEFA Champions League, which puts them on the verge of being knocked out of the tournament. One take at a time

Growing up in a sporting background, I found a passion for soccer through the remarkable 2002 World Cup-winning Brazilian football team. However, Ronaldo Nazario, Rivaldo, and Ronaldinho are my favorite players and Lionel Messi is the GOAT.
