“Saint” Lionel Messi Blasted by Rodrygo’s Father Over Online Trolls After Heated Confrontation at Brazil vs. Argentina World Cup Qualifiers

The World Cup qualifying match between Argentina and Brazil was full of controversies. There were fans, players, and the police all getting into argument. One of the arguments happened between Lionel Messi and Rodrygo. After, the match, Rodrygo received online trolling. This has prompted the father of the Brazilian star to give it back to the Argentinian.

It looks like this confrontation of words on social media between Argentina and Brazil will go on for a long time. This also shows the seriousness of the rivalry between both nations.

The father of Rodrygo hits back at Lionel Messi on social media

There are times when the trolling and abuse of soccer fans goes over the limit. It is what happened on social media for Rodrygo. The Brazilian received racist messages for his arguments with Lionel Messi. Rodrygo has also termed it as ‘criminal behavior’. Now, after Rodrygo, his father has directly hit back at Lionel Messi. Sharing a story on Instagram, he wrote, “The little saint who doesn’t get into trouble with anyone.”

Rodrygo has already hit back at the trolling from some of the social media users. He has made it clear that he will not bow down to this criminal behavior. This racist behavior came from Argentina fans after the Real Madrid star called the Argentinian players cowards. While he was arguing with Rodrigo De Paul, Messi overheard the conversation and told him something in his ear. He reportedly said, “We are the world champions, why are we cowards? Look at your mouth.”

Rodrygo’s father’s post also had images of Messi arguing with Uruguayan players, as just a week ago, Messi had a brawl with another rival team.

The Argentinian also had arguments with the Uruguayan players

La Albiceleste faced Uruguay before Brazil in the World Cup qualifiers. Messi and his team lost the match 2-0.  In the 21st minute, Uruguayan star midfielder Manuel Ugarte made some gestures to both Enzo Fernandes and Rodrigo De Paul. It was followed by Messi shoving the Uruguayan players who were protecting Ugarte.

After the match, Lionel Messi speaking to the media said, that the Uruguayan team will have to learn manners. They will also have to learn how to speak with elders. It is clear that he got triggered by the words Ugarte and his teammates were using. There is also an indication that Ugarte used an NSFW gesture against the World Champions,
