The soccer universe then witnessed a shocking last-minute 2-1 win against Germany. Along with the fans, tons of celebrities are also supporting Colombia. Linda Caicedo in the Colombian team has a very emotional story to the top. Years before the World Cup, she was diagnosed with cancer. But she kept pushing forward and is now playing for Real Madrid and lighting the World Cup on fire! Let’s dive deeper.

Caicedo has had a major involvement in both Colombia’s wins. Her inspirational story came to light after the 18-year-old scored against South Korea. She scored again against Germany after beating two defenders with a stunning roulette. None of this would have ever happened if she gave up when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at age 15. She worked hard towards her goal and now plays for Real Madrid!

However, she had another shocking incident just days before the Germany game. The 18-year-old collapsed during training all of a sudden. Luckily, it wasn’t anything major. The physio deemed it as just ‘stress’ over her inaugural World Cup. As of today, Linda Caicedo has become an inspiration for millions of young girls and cancer survivors all across the globe.
