All eyes will be on Manchester City as a win over Nuno Espirito‘s team will put them in pole position for the title. With so much at stake, it will be interesting to see if Erling Haaland is given the green light for the game, with the player out of action since the UCL semifinals.

Erling Haaland is reportedly suffering from a muscular injury. The player had to be taken off the field against Real Madrid with 30 minutes left on the clock. He subsequently missed the games against Chelsea and Brighton, with the medical staff blocking the player from taking to the field. However, the player could be back in action against Forest with the Norwegian spotted during the team’s training this Saturday. Albeit this could be off the bench, with the team unlikely to play him for the entire 90 minutes.

Erling Haaland took to his Instagram handle last night as he could be seen training alongside the team. The striker had a special message for the fans as he stated, “Six finals left 💪🏻 Let’s go!”

With the season reaching the business end, Manchester City cannot afford any slip-ups. Pep Guardiola’s side is a point behind Arsenal with a game-in-hand over the Gunners. A win over Forest tonight could push the team ahead of Mikel Arteta’s side based on the outcome of the clash between Arsenal and Tottenham later tonight.

Can Erling Haaland finish things in style?

The ongoing season hasn’t been the best for Erling Haaland. Well, by his standards! Despite bagging 31 goals from 39 games, the striker is far behind his astonishing numbers from last season. While injuries haven’t helped his case, the player’s performance has witnessed a considerable dip. Haaland has failed to deliver on crucial occasions, with defenders such as Virgil van Dijk, William Saliba, and Antonio Rudiger easily containing the striker.

In his defense, teams have done a good job marking the Manchester City number 9. Most teams have kept both their defenders on the striker to prevent him from making free runs. Pep Guardiola has surely noted this and might have a new plan to help his star player. With the stage set, this is Erling Haaland’s opportunity to flourish. The Norwegian would love to end things on a high and a Premier League and FA Cup title win to wrap up a quadruple would surely help the cause.
