However, the dynamics of social media have changed over time, and now it is one of the mediums for athletes to earn some extra money. USWNT soccer star Alex Morgan is doing the same and is estimated to be the highest-earning women’s soccer player at the end of 2023.

Alex Morgan estimated to earn enormous sums through Instagram
UK-based betting and analytical site Betting.com recently released a list of estimated earnings from Instagram for women soccer players. It ranked USWNT forward first with an estimated income of $637,027 in 2023. The net worth of the two-time World Cup winner currently stands at $3 million.
As per Betting.com, Morgan will make $26,532 on average per Instagram post. The website predicts the overall earnings and earnings per post to be six times higher than second-placed FC Barcelona superstar and two-times Ballon d’Or winner Alexia Putellas. Another USWNT superstar, Megan Rapinoe, also makes it to the top 10.

She is monetizing her social media influence significantly. The San Diego Wave FC forward boasts over 10 million followers on Instagram. Morgan has become one of the most marketable names in women’s soccer. Her on-field and off-field success has attracted many sponsors. As a result, in 2022, the former Tottenham Hotspur star surpassed the likes of Serena Williams in the endorsements, despite Williams being 86 times richer than her.
As per 2022 SportsUnited’s brand partnership report, Morgan was the most endorsed female athlete in 2022. It also revealed that Wave forward inked a total of 27 brand deals in 2022 with Google, AT&T, and Coca-Cola, amongst others.
Morgan is in search of a new celebration for the World Cup

The USWNT superstar was on the Snacks podcast recently. Her national teammates Sam Mewis and Lynn Williams hosted the podcast, and they spoke about the World Cup happening this year. They discussed Morgan’s tea-sip celebration that caused controversy during the 2019 World Cup.
While speaking about a unique celebration, Morgan said she need to come up with a new idea for the 2023 edition. Morgan also hailed Megan Rapinoe, saying the OL Reign forward has the best celebrations. It will be intriguing to see what unique celebrating style Morgan comes up with.
