A few days ago, Cristiano Ronaldo broke possibly the biggest record of his international career. The soccer veteran now has the most international caps in soccer history, by representing his national team for the 197th time. The best part about this record is that Ronaldo just doesn’t seem like he will stop playing soccer so soon. From a lover to a hater, every single person in the soccer universe bowed down to the soccer veteran after he broke this unimaginable record.

His new soccer club, Al-Nassr, was eagerly waiting for Ronaldo’s return from international duty.

They surprised him with a heartwarming cake-cutting ceremony with his squad members in the dressing room.

A few days ago, the world witnessed Cristiano Ronaldo break a massive international soccer record. Portugal is currently competing in the qualifiers for EURO 2024. On March 23, the Real Madrid legend made his 197 appearance for his country. He also managed to score two goals during the particular game. They defeated Liechtenstein 4-0.

With that game, Ronaldo overtook Bader Al-Mutawa’s most international appearances record. After quite a successful international break, he returned to his club in Saudi Arabia. His club, Al-Nassr surprised him with a small in-house celebration with the players and support staff. A few hours ago, the soccer veteran shared a few photos from the celebration with a thank-you note.

He wrote, “Thank you to @AlNassrFC_EN and my teammates for celebrating with me this achievement of becoming the most capped men’s international player”. He was also kind and humble enough to wish young Abdulrahman Ghareeb for his birthday.

It is important to note that everyone thought Ronaldo’s future for Portugal was in danger after the recent FIFA World Cup. It seemed like Ronaldo had completely fallen out of favor under Fernando Santos.

Fernando Santos’ departure and Roberto Martinez’s arrival proved to be extremely beneficial for Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese soccer legend was back in the national squad for the EURO 2024 qualifiers without any questions.
