Wrexham AFC is still on cloud nine after they recently clinched a promotion to the League Two. The Red Dragons managed to complete the ‘mission impossible’ as now they’ll be playing in the EFL League Two. With the new season on the horizon, the Welsh side has already lined up big plans.

Among all their plans, the main goal for them is to reach the Premier League. While it’s still a long journey for them, former Wales and Red Dragons star has backed Phil Parkinson’s side to go all the way up.

After clinching their first promotion, Reynolds, and McElhenney are already eyeing the big leagues. They are desperate to reach the Premier League ASAP. While many have cast their doubts on the same former Dragons’ and Wales star, Brian Flynn has backed the owners to clinch multiple promotions and get to the EPL.

In a recent interview with Fearless in Devotion, Flynn was asked about the future of Reynolds’ side and if he could become a part of their famous docuseries, Welcome to Wrexham. He said, “Yes, I’m sure it’s exciting.” while suggesting how surprised he is to see the limelight everyone has got.

Flynn said the players “don’t blink twice now about cameras being poked in their faces.” He says everyone has gotten used to the attention while suggesting he doesn’t mind being in the docuseries. When asked about the upcoming sequels of the documentary, he said, “So it’s going to be interesting part two, part three, and part four. Part five, obviously, the plan is Premier League.”

He backed them to replicate Luton Town’s success. “Luton have done it in nine, Wrexham could have that they could do it in five. There’s no doubt about that why not? what is there to stop them? there’s no barriers, no stop whatsoever.” Indeed, he seems confident about the Red’s chances to reach the Premier League, something that Reynolds already has in mind.

Earlier, Reynolds had shared his desire to guide Wrexham to England’s top division. “In 10 years’ time, the plan has and always will be the Premier League,” he said. The Deadpool star is optimistic about his chances, suggesting they’ll give their everything to reach the top division. While the optimism sounds good to the ears, it definitely isn’t an easy task.

Reynolds’ team is primarily focused on strengthening their squad for the upcoming season, as they are close to kicking off their new season. The Red Dragons are looking to replicate past achievements and secure yet another promotion. Indeed, the road to the EPL isn’t an easy one, but if Reynolds manages to turn things in their favor, then there’s no stopping them.
