Scoring a phenomenal overhead kick reminiscent of Rooney’s, Manchester United starlet Alejandro Garnacho turned back the time against Everton. Rather than his spectacular goal, however, his celebration has been a topic of discussion. Despite being an Argentina national, the player continues replicating Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic ‘Siu’ after his goals. On this note, a former Egyptian star questioned the player’s celebration, claiming he had something on his mind.

The Argentine sensation has emerged as one of the best players for the Red Devils in the attacking third, more so with his one-on-one play coupled with pace. The nineteen-year-old has found the back of the net three times for Manchester United in the league and will look to continue his form.

Alejandro Garnacho sent Manchester United fans into a frenzy as he scored a stunning overhead goal at Goodison Park last month in the team’s 3-0 win over Everton. However, the player’s celebration following the goal bagged even more attention as the Argentine ran down the field before pulling off Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic celebration.

Alejandro Garnacho slammed for copying Cristiano Ronaldo

Former Barcelona star Arturo Vidal also questioned the youngster’s celebration, claiming rather than copying Cristiano Ronaldo, he has to be his own player. Vidal stated, “The only bad thing or what I didn’t understand is why he celebrates like Cristiano? He has to make his own name.”

Further, he added, “He is an already great player. It’s good that he is his idol, respect for that, but then he has to make his name. How are you going to celebrate a goal and remember it? I don’t know, celebrate it another way. But it was a great goal, it was a great goal.”
