Two-Time Oscar Winner Tom Hanks Spotted Bouncing With Joy at Villa Park for Arsenal vs Aston Villa

Hollywood’s superstar Tom Hanks is a well-known soccer fan. The Forrest Gump actor supports Premier League club Aston Villa, he first announced in 2008 on Jonathan Ross’s show. Very recently, he was cheering for the English team in their own stadium.

On Saturday, the actor was spotted at Villa Park, the home ground of Aston Villa. Villa is playing Arsenal in the Premier League game. Hanks is in the crowd to witness his favorite club. The Presidential Medal of Freedom winner liked the name of the club when he first heard it and started supporting the club since.

Tom Hanks was over the moon rooting for the Villans

It was Hank’s first visit to Villa Park to watch the Villans playing. The 2-time Oscar winner was seen talking to a Villa official before the game and took to the pitch. Hanks also posed for photos in the middle of the pitch with the club official before the game. Villa is currently 11th in the table and will look to give an inspiring performance.

Hanks has been supporting the club since 2008 and once visited a friendly game of the club in the US. He also donned the claret and blue muffler on several occasions to support the club. Hanks came out in support of the Villa fans, sharing inspiring messages when the club was relegated from the Premier League.

It’s not the first time a Hollywood celebrity supporting European soccer teams in their home ground. Ryan Reynolds, who also co-owns the Welsh club Wrexham AFC, often visits Wales for their games. Tom Cruise used to attend and cheer for Real Madrid in their matches.

Hanks also tries to keep up with all the updates on the Villa from his friend based in Los Angeles. He once complained about not seeing the Villa games on the channel but only of other clubs.
