He said, “He is a goalscorer and is capable of scoring at any time. But, in more than one match, he didn’t score and was not at the level expected of him, I don’t think he poses a threat to Al-Hilal players who are used to playing against international players, clubs, and teams, and about two months ago they played against European champions Real Madrid and before that they faced Messi.”

Moreover, the statement came mere days after Al Hilal offered the biggest contract in soccer history to the Argentine soccer maestro Lionel Messi. Although it is clear that Messi’s intent is solely to stay in Europe and most probably go back to his boyhood club, FC Barcelona.
