In December 2022, Manchester United fans got the ultimate shock when Cristiano Ronaldo and the club parted ways. It came after a public back-and-forth the club had with the Portuguese superstar. In 2021 Ronaldo joined the red devils thinking of bringing his old magic back. However, after a bad season, the team decided to sign Erik ten Hag.

Things quickly turned sour when he benched Ronaldo against Tottenham Hotspur. One thing led to another and Cristiano Ronaldo is now in Saudi Arabia winning a player of the month award in the Arabian pro league for his contribution to Al-Nassr FC.

Many former players and legends of European soccer over time had said that Ronaldo leaving the club had turned out better for the young core of the club. Manchester United’s performance also reflects these statements as the team is sitting in the 3rd spot in the Premier League. Although yesterday fans got a chance to troll the team and coach that dropped Cristiano Ronaldo.

Yesterday in a Premier League match, Manchester United faced Liverpool. Fans thought Manchester United will win this matchup. They weren’t ready for the absolute humiliation and obliteration United was going to face. Liverpool gave the red devils one of their heaviest beat-downs in recent years. Above all, fans trolled Manchester United coach Eric ten Hag.

In a clip that went viral on Twitter, Liverpool fans were chanting “Viva Ronaldo” during Manchester United vs Liverpool. The United coach had said in multiple interviews that he felt better after dropping Ronaldo from the team. This chant is a clap back to the boss from fans during his worst defeat.

Liverpool went full-on Super Saiyan mode on Manchester United and by the final whistle, the scoreboard was 7-0. At the end of the first half, the score was 1-0. But, the fans had no idea about the absolute beatdown that was to follow in the latter half of the game. This clip is reminiscent of when a couple of months back United fans sang anti-Ronaldo chants.

It all started during a match against Tottenham when the manager didn’t include Ronaldo in the starting 11 and kept him on the bench. He left the pitch. The Piers Morgan interview had Ronaldo’s views on the Tottenham situation. He said the management and team did not respect him. Everyone criticized the interview all over the world and now fans were quick to show how they felt about the elite player.

In their match against Burnley following the dropping of Ronaldo from the club, Manchester United fans were chanting about the star player and it looked like they weren’t happy with him. While the team won, 2-0 fans sang, “I don’t care about Ronny, Ronny doesn’t care about me, all I care about is MUFC“.
