Dubbed to be one of the most expensive transfers of all time, Neymar and PSG have not been a success. The left winger with immense technical prowess failed to win the Champions League after repeated tries for the French capital team. Therefore, the signing probably is underwhelming for all the wrong reasons. In addition, the injury troubles completely dampened his form with the club. After the latest ankle injury, Neymar will miss three to four months of playing time. He returned to Brazil and also posted an Instagram story of how he flew back to his home nation.

The Brazilian superstar left for his home country after having successful surgery to repair his ankle ligaments. Up until his injury, the Brazilian displayed some of his best soccer skills in a PSG shirt. Yet, injuries always pushed him down.

In his Instagram story, he captioned“Home” with an airplane and prayer emoji. Likewise, his ankle has a plaster cast after his surgery. The 31-year-old superstar underwent surgery in Qatar for his right ankle ligament injury. The club announced the surgery “went very well.” The surgery took place at the ASPETR clinic in Doha. Three surgeons performed the procedure, and Brazilian national team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar was present during the surgery.

The winger suffered a severe sprain to his right ankle. Throughout his career, the weak ankle was a cause for concern. After various strains to his ankle, the ligament gave way and having surgery became a necessity. Similarly, the 2022 Qatar World Cup also saw Neymar injuring his ankle during Brazil’s match against Serbia. He suffered an ankle lateral ligament injury with minor bone edema. After a successful surgery, Neymar will now aim to recover to get back on the pitch.
