Cristiano Ronaldo has sent out a warning to Al Hilal. The message is simple: Al Nassr is not backing down from the challenge of taking the top spot in the Saudi Pro League from Al Hilal. The Portuguese forward made the message clear after Al Nassr’s commanding 5-2 win over Al Ittihad.

Al Nassr secured a crucial victory against Al Ittihad, with the 5x Ballon d’Or winner scoring a brace from the penalty spot. This decisive win also marks Al Alami’s fourth consecutive victory, and they have no intention of slowing down.

In his usual customary manner, the Portuguese superstar took to his Instagram account to share pictures from the match, accompanied by a motivating caption. “Important win! We’re not stopping!” Cristiano Ronaldo wrote. It’s evident from his words that Al Nassr is not content with their current position and is hungry for more success.

Al Nassr’s recent victory over Al Ittihad is significant as it marks their first win against them since 2018. The notable contribution of Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored two goals from the penalty spot, played a crucial role in achieving this triumph. However, one of these penalty calls was surrounded by controversy and dissatisfaction from Al Ittihad boss Marcelo Gallardo.

Nonetheless, Ronaldo’s impressive performance has elevated his goal tally for 2023 to an astonishing 53 goals. This achievement now places him ahead of Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe as the leading goalscorer of the year. If this trend continues, there is a high likelihood that the 38-year-old will finish the year as the top goalscorer, accomplishing a feat he last achieved eight years ago.
