Trinity Rodman just can’t seem to do any wrong. The USWNT international recently made the country proud after winning the CONCACAF W Gold Cup. After all, sporting talent runs in the family, and her father Dennis Rodman is a legendary NBA star known for his time with the Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls. Trinity’s equation with her father is well-known among the public. But, what about her mother, Michelle Moyer?

Michelle Moyer: The real-life ‘role model’ of Trinity Rodman

Born on April 27, 1967, Moyer was an athlete in her high school days and played softball and participated in track and field events. Moreover, her talents extend beyond the pitch, she is a singer as well and has featured in a few reality shows. In one of these shows called ‘Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew‘, she even appeared alongside Dennis Rodman.

Dennis Rodman and Michelle Moyer first crossed paths in 1999. In 2001, they welcomed their first child, DJ. In the following year, Trinity Rodman was born. The couple officially tied the knot in 2003. This was Dennis Rodman’s third marriage after separating from Annie Bakes and Carmen Electra. However, it wasn’t smooth sailing and Michelle filed for divorce in 2004. But it wasn’t until 2012 that the couple officially split up.

NWSL Historian Snubs Trinity Rodman, Favouring Alex Morgan, and Injured Star for USWNT’s Ideal Olympic Attacking Trio

Trinity Rodman had previously revealed that she used to copy her dad’s technique and try to bring in her game, albeit they are in different sports. However, her mother’s role in her growth often went under the radar. The 21-year-old told the Guardian in 2001, “Having a dad like I do, no one asks about my mom because she’s obviously not an NBA star. But I just want people to know that my mom’s been my support system in everything in life … She’s an extremely strong woman. She’s my role model.”

Moyer was the one who primarily raised Trinity Rodman and her siblings. As such both Trinity and DJ regularly post on social media regarding their mother. Likewise, the compliments are paid back by mommy dearest. In fact, she is a regular attendee at Trinity’s soccer games and constantly posts her accomplishments on her Instagram feed.
