Wrexham AFC co-owner, Ryan Reynolds, sent the internet into splits after his recent comments. Reynolds made an appearance at the Kansas City Chiefs vs New York Jets NFL game where the Deadpool actor along with his wife, Blake Lively, were in the stands along with Lively’s friend and pop star, Taylor Swift. However, Reynolds made an interesting comment after the game regarding Wrexham and the NFL.

Reynolds spoke after the game in a short interview with Extra TV about his love for the NFL and football in America. But he also reiterated that ‘football,’ to him, means something else now because of his ownership of Welsh club Wrexham.

Speaking shortly after the Chiefs vs Jets game, Reynolds was asked by an Extra TV presenter about his love of football, where Reynolds stated, “It’s a lot of fun. I mean the NFL right now is reaching a kind of fever pitch. That’s usually reserved only for the Super Bowl. But here we are at the 4th or 5th game of the year and it’s already happening so…”

“I played football when I was a kid. I loved it, I love watching it, I continue to, I will always watch it, it’s great. But football in my mind now is what we would call soccer over here because I can’t say soccer when I’m in Europe”
